Rabbit Sales Policy

General Policy
Rabbits are sold first come, first serve. I do not keep a waiting list or accept deposits to hold animals. The best way to find out what is available is to check the website for updates.

Rabbits sold as pets only will not come with their pedigree. I will not sell rabbits as gifts for children as all too often it is the rabbit that suffers as a result of lost interest or a lack of proper care. Therefore if someone is looking for a family pet, an adult in the household must take full responsibility for the animal.

These are live animals and I reserve the right to cancel a sale at any time for any reason.

I accept cash and postal money orders only at this time.

The purchase of Harlequin breeding/show stock will include a small non-negotiable fee for a membership with The American Harlequin Rabbit Club. For a youth, it is $4/year, for an adult it is $5/year, for a husband/wife team it is $7/year, and for a family together it is $10/year.

If you can no longer keep your Harlequin(s), I will take them back- provided that they do not pose a health risk to my herd. There will be no refund provided. You should plan to include their cage/supplies because I do not always have open cages available. Once your animal(s) are returned, I will evaluate them and they will either stay here or will be re-homed as quickly as possible.

Shipping and Transport
I do not ship rabbits at this time and I do not allow strangers to come here and pick up rabbits, but I will be glad to transport the rabbit(s) to a show that I am attending or I can meet you at a mutually-agreed upon public location.

Guarantee
I do the best that I can to provide healthy animals that have been honestly represented, but due to the nature of the rabbit as a prey species and because I do not have any control over the rabbit once it leaves my care, I do not offer any kind of guarantee (show, behavior, health, etc.) on any rabbit. I do not sell rabbits that are under eight weeks old. I will also do what I can to educate new buyers on caring for their rabbit properly (please see the section on this site as well for care and grooming information), but ultimately, it is up to the buyer to provide proper care and husbandry, safe handling practices, and to protect their new additions from ill animals, excessive stress, and potential predators.

All sales are final upon delivery. While I will always tell you what I can about each individual animal, ultimately it is up to you as the buyer to check over any animal that you are purchasing and make sure that it is satisfactory to you before you leave with it.

I will be glad to answer questions for the life of the rabbit- please do not hesitate to contact me.
